CeramicSpeed hybrid deep groove ball bearings
Product description
Deep groove ball bearings (DGBB) are the most widely used bearing design in the world and form a focal point of the CeramicSpeed product range. They are suitable for radial loads and limited axial loads in both directions. By combining steel rings with ceramic balls, these hybrid bearings generate less friction, allow for higher rotational speeds, and offer a longer service life than fully steel alternatives. These properties make deep groove ball bearings suitable for a wide range of applications, from standard industrial machinery to heavy, continuously running installations.
Variants, dimensions and materials
To offer the right specification for every application, the range is divided into three product families. The Insulate series is designed for electrical machines and protects against current erosion caused by stray currents. The Xtreme series is a robust, all-round solution for high rotational speeds, reduced lubrication and demanding or contaminated environments. The Corrotec series is specifically developed for wet and aggressive conditions, such as in the food, pharma and beverage industries, and complies with FDA and EN 1935 regulations. The inner ring diameter of these bearings ranges from 3 to 300 mm. The rings are available in chromium steel (SAE 52100), stainless steel (AISI 420/440), the heat-resistant steel grade X30CrMoN15-1 (1.4108), and full ceramic zirconia (ZrO2).
