CeramicSpeed hybrid thrust bearings

Thrust bearings are specifically designed to absorb axial loads, i.e. forces acting parallel to the shaft direction. By combining ceramic balls with steel rings, these hybrid bearings offer lower friction, less heat generation and a longer service life than fully steel variants. This makes them suitable for applications where a significant axial force needs to be absorbed, such as spindles, pumps, lifting and hoisting systems, and various machine components where rotation is combined with strong axial loads. Because thrust bearings do not carry radial loads, they are usually combined with a radial bearing to create a complete, stable shaft support.

Variants, dimensions and materials

CeramicSpeed's thrust bearing range is available in the Xtreme variant, a robust, general-purpose solution for high speeds and demanding conditions, and the Corrotec variant, specifically developed for wet or chemically demanding environments such as the food and beverage industry. The inner ring diameter ranges from 5 to 120 mm, so a suitable size is available for both small and heavier-duty applications. The rings are available in chromium steel (SAE 52100) and stainless steel (AISI 420/440). This combination of variants and materials makes it possible to offer the optimal solution for every specific axial load situation, even under changing environmental conditions.
